The purpose of Community Initiatives program is to assist First Nations communities by providing a wholistic, integrated and common approach to the solution of educational, career, employment and infrastructure needs of Aboriginal people. The program is intended to stimulate Aboriginal community development that will contribute to the development of long-term employment and business opportunities along with human resource needs. Eligible participants are unemployed First Nations members who seek career-oriented goals.
