Duties
Truck and Coach Technicians service and maintain all types of vehicles and equipment. This includes bucket trucks, off road equipment and construction equipment.
Salary - Certified
$ 38.70 ( Starting Hourly Wage )
Salary - Apprentice
$ 15.70 ( Starting Training Wage )
Pay progression every six months for the first two years. Increases after two years are annual on anniversary dates.
Training Schedule
- Orientation - 1 days
- 5 Levels of Training with 28 weeks of trades school training & Hydro One central training over 5 years,
- 9000 Hours ( On the Job Training )
Centre Training Centre
- Kleinberg (Near Toronto) and community college.
Desired Qualifications:
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent,
- Grade 12 Math and English,
- Mechanical aptitude an asset,
- Capable of communicating effectively orally and written,
- Position requires heavy lifting. Candidate must be physically capable of performing all duties of the position
- Related employment experience is an asset,
- Able to travel throughout the province,
- Possess a valid Province of Ontario Driver's License
