Construction and Maintenance Electricians work on virtually every kind of residential, industrial and commercial building. They lay out, assemble, repair, maintain, connect and test electrical fixtures, apparatus, control equipment and wiring, heating and power systems. They also maintain generation, transmission and distribution stations.

Control Technicians spend a large part of their day inspecting, maintaining and repairing instrumentation, electronics and electrical equipment as well as run diagnostic and maintenance routines. Some days will require several hours of paperwork which is repetitive but is essential to the success and safety of everyone. They must be able to work eight, ten or twelve hour shifts and be able to work at any hour of the day.

Mechanical Maintainers play an essential role in equipment surveillance and maintenance program to ensure a safe and reliable plant operation. In new facilities, they commission plant equipment and systems. They also provide feedback to technical staff regarding the condition of the equipment through dismantling, inspection and reassembly. They carry out predictive maintenance, preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance to ensure reliable system operation and to ensure the equipment is in a god state of repair.
Working as a Nuclear Operator is an extremely rewarding experience. They typically spend their days within designated area monitoring equipment and systems to ensure all safety level and procedures are strictly adhered to. They constantly monitor system pressure, temperatures, water levels, and report and record abnormal conditions. Task may be repetitive, but they are essential to the role of Nuclear Operator and the safety of everyone.

Power-line Technicians construct, repair and maintain transmission and distribution lines on poles, towers, and structures. This includes inspecting, commissioning, de-energizing, trouble- shooting, operating and maintaining distribution and transmission lines and related equipment both overhead and underground during normal and emergency conditions. They maintain a working knowledge of operating regulations, working clearances, construction standards, and safety regulations as well as know how to operate hole digging attachments and related equipment.
Truck and Coach Technicians service and maintain all types of vehicles and equipment. This includes bucket trucks, off road equipment and construction equipment.

Pay progression every six months for the first two years. Increases after two years are annual on anniversary dates.
Utility Arborist also known as Electrical Foresters clear electrical lines and right of ways of trees and brush. They work consists of pruning, roping and rigging, chainsaw operation, tree identification and vegetation control. The work is performed from the ground, by climbing trees or from bucket trucks. The work is physically demanding and is performed in all kinds of weather.
